During the interim period, all opportunities may arise! This centrally located site is unique. The buildings are in good condition and many spaces are available for rental over a period of three to five years.
Some of the spaces and buildings are now used by the State Secretary for Migration to accommodate asylum seekers, others by Canton Fribourg for the same purpose; this situation, however, is temporary.

We are launching a call for projects (until 30 April 2024) for the use of the premises, with potential partnership and collaboration opportunities, such as:
– Projects for associations, groups, civil initiatives
– Cultural, social or sports purposes
– Events, shows, markets, etc.
– Participatory approaches
– Spaces for storage, workshops, offices, etc.
– Student rooms
– Mixed use of the perimeter

The Canton of Fribourg wishes La Poya to become a vibrant and sustainable neighbourhood for the organisations and inhabitants of Fribourg.
Various options have been considered, such as a space dedicated to sports, lodgings or art and culture – or a combination of all those, but nothing has been decided yet.
Let’s imagine that future together! If you have ideas or wish to express needs for the next chapter of this site, fill in the form to take part in the participatory workshop on March 21 (at 6 pm). If there are more registrations than available places, we will select the participants to ensure there is a diverse and representative group.
